Minutes Meeting with Parishioners 24 May 2022

Chair: Daniel Simpson (SH) – Chairman of the Parish Council
Present: Peter Myers, J Duncumb Russ Gleeson, Jim Turbin, ELDC Cllr Andrews. Viv Davies, (Clerk)
Present: There were no residents present.
1. Approval of the minutes of the last meeting (30th September 2022) – Approved with no changes
2. Annual report from the Parish Council Chairman –
Cllr Simpson gave thanks to the clerk and the councillors for all their work.
Thanks were given to those who live in and around Scamblesby who give their time and resources
Litter pickers
Mandy Roper for looking after and monitoring the defibrillator
Village Hall committee for looking after the interests of the Hall
Wolds Community Centre for its contribution to the village life and enabling the Council to hold its meetings.
The Green Man
St Martins Church for its contribution to village life
Cllr Simpson reported that banking services continue to be reduced in the nearby towns. The councils own experience with the bank has been time consuming.

 
Development in the village continues. The future of the old phone box will be decided by the Parish Council.

 
Finance
In the financial year 2021-21 the Parish Council received receipts of £2868.59. Expenditure was £2204.50. All payments are subject to approval by the Parish council and are supported by an invoice.
The c/f figure into 2022-23 is £3804.87.
REPORTS FROM THE SCAMBLESBY CE PRIMARY SCHOOL
 
There were 67 children on roll.

 
OFSTED paid the school a visit at the end of March. The school maintained its Good status. . A full two day inspection will occur within 12 – 24 months.
Whilst the monthly Celebration services at St. Martin’s have had to be placed on hold due to COVID, the school continues to work with the church via Revd’ Cilla and the Foundation
Governors.
Having benefited from the bathroom facility refurbishment last year, this year the school invested in an outdoor cabin to provide extra teaching space for the youngest class. There are further plans for the development of existing class space at this end of the school.
LCC- CLLR ANDREWS
In the near future there will be an additional bin for paper and card (blue) and the glass will go in the grey bin.
The building in Horncastle is delayed and it is anticipated that East Lindsey will move into the premises in January.

There was no open forum as no parishioners were present.
