Minutes meeting with Parishioners
Notes from the Scamblesby with Cawkwell Annual Parish Meeting 17 May 2023 at 7.00pm

Chair: Russ Gleeson – Chairman of the Parish Council
Present: No councillors present apart from Cllr Gleeson, the Chairman.
In attendance: ELDC Cllr Simpson. Viv Davies, (Clerk)
Present: There were 2 residents present.
1. Approval of the minutes of the last meeting (26 May 2022) – Approved with no changes
2. Annual report from the Parish Council Chairman –
Thanks were given to those who live in and around Scamblesby who give their time and resources.
Litter pickers
Mandy Roper for looking after and monitoring the defibrillator
Village Hall committee for looking after the interests of the Hall
Wolds Community Centre for its contribution to the village life and enabling the Council to hold its meetings.
St Martins Church for its contribution to village life
Cllr Gleeson reported on ongoing maintenance. The bus stop would be renovated in the future. In addition the telephone kiosk would be refurbished.
Cllr Gleeson gave thanks to the clerk and the councillors for all their work
FINANCE
In the financial year 2022-23 the Parish Council received receipts of £15,887.32 Expenditure was £13,055.55 All payments are subject to approval by the Parish council and are supported by an invoice.
The c/f figure into 2023-24 is £2831.77

Open forum –
Discussion took place regarding the white speed deterrent gates entering
West Ashby. The clerk would ask the Parish clerk at West Ashby how they funded the gates and the costs. The clerk would also enquire about prices for powder coated silhouette signs.
